exte10a.jpg (14161 bytes) Location:  Thorrington  NGR: TM 0878 2030 Date:   4 January 2003 and 6 October 2003
Maker:  Maldon Iron Works
Details:  With extensive rust, two arms broken off and the remaining pair crudely repaired, this Maldon Iron Works post at Thorrington Cross is not a very good example of how a cast iron guidepost should be maintained.  The finial is interesting as parish name is given as THORINGTON (with a single R).
